Why it might be time to STOP what you’re doing.

For the past few weeks I’ve been observing my behaviors.

It happens most years, I try to make the most out of January like most people with the buzz of a new year. However the shame of not getting this a rock-star year started creates anxiety within. It’s horrible. I take procrastinate and avoid doing much at all which only makes things worse.

Perhaps you can relate?

My over enthusiasm to implement the projects which I designed for this year doesn’t happen so I feel like a huge disappointment. The energy I hold around my non moving projects is forceful, needing, reaching, grasping and grabbing.  I want it so badly yet I’m doing little about it.

Then I say f*ck it. If my projects don’t happen this month it’s not really the end of the world is it? This is a big step in letting go. And I consciously take the foot of the pedal.  And so I relax for a few days without concern about work, schedules, what I ‘should’ be doing.  I switch off.

In other words, I know what I am doing now is being kinder to me.

Because I’m listening to what I really want.

So I stop.

Since taking a step back I stay in my power, I’m more calm and I’m allowing flow.

In my opinion January is still hibernation time.  Every year it baffles me why everyone, including me, goes chasing after his or her life long dreams like it can’t happen on any other day or month of the year.

For me, February is the start of spring. Seeds start to sprout and shine. It brings a smile to my face to see the buds starting to blossom as they are on their journey to their full potential.

Is it time to STOP what you’re doing?

Energy checks is something I do regularly now.  I notice when my energy is way out in front of me grasping to get ahead and so I gently draw myself back into alignment.

When I’m in alignment I am in my own power, I have more clarity, I can follow my intuition and I listen to my inner guidance system. I feel safer to take steps forward from a heart-centered energy.

Is it time to STOP what you’re doing? Have you noticed that you are creating your projects/your life with ease and joy, or with desperation of needing it to happen?

Which option do you feel you will burn out with the quickest?

What energy will the end product feel like – a wonderful achievement or a hurdle that you just got over and glad you are still in one piece after it?

When we are in alignment life is easier, simpler and more fun.

Notice over the next few days your energy. Are you desperately reaching out ‘grasping’ for something to ‘pull’ into your life?

OR

Are you allowing it to be drawn into you into the place where you stand in your highest vibration with minimal effort.

The energy of forcing, grasping and grabbing my projects and forcing them to move, with a closed energy was like trying to say move ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Personally I don’t’ think little me would be able to move him at all.

However the other energy of staying in our power, with an open energy, I can just ask him to move.

Which option do you think feels simpler, easier to you?

So, have I got much done this year yet? The answer is YES!.

I have achieved is awareness in my behavior that I may not have had witnessed to this degree previously for which I am grateful.

What I have achieved is a softer kindness and compassion with myself.

In conclusion I now I feel I can take steps forward with out the overwhelming expectations I put upon myself.

Where do you need to be kinder and compassionate with yourself?

How many hours per day are you not kind to yourself, and would you put up with such un-kindness from a friend?

If not, don’t tolerate it from yourself anymore either. It’s time to move on?

What is it time to let go of? What is the biggest burden or weight you are carrying and can you just drop it? Is it time to STOP what you’re doing?
